About MeI am currently a college student working my way towards a degree in biology, with the goal of going into zoology and entomology.
At home I grew up with two cats and a dog, all rescues. My current pets are a rescue dog and a special-needs bearded dragon lizard. Ziggy, my dog, is a high energy mixed-breed who is generally friendly, if a little skittish sometimes. He gets along with other dogs one-on-one, but becomes nervous in a crowded or noisy environment, so I know what it is like to have a dog who does not do well in a doggy daycare setting. Gojira, the lizard, I purchased from a young boy who did not take proper care of him. When I got him he had intestinal parasites and an unknown infection. After nursing him back to health with months of medications, he still has neurological damage that affects his motor control. He has to be hand-fed all his food, including the crickets. Unrelated to my pets, I am also a scuba diver and an artist. I do some nature photography and drawing/painting in my free time. I have spent time volunteering at Mission: Wolf, a wolf sanctuary in Colorado (see profile photo), as well as the Seattle Aquarium and Woodland Park Camp Fire Day Camp. |
